Medical Records Specialist for Case Management

Health Affiliates Maine has a Full time opening for a Medical Records Specialist that supports the Case Management program.  The qualified candidate will be required to have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.  Your ability to be self motivated, work independently and as part of the medical records team, and pay attention to detail will be necessary for your success in this position.  The Medical Records Specialist manages the following responsibilities:

  • Receiving, scanning and uploading all case management and BHH medical records
  • Filing all original documentation into paper charts
  • Pulling and filing back medical records
  • Setting up new chart and Processing Discharges
  • Accessing EIS system for CANS and ANSA assessments
  • Back up to reception
  • Assisting with other tasks for medical records or reception

This team based position is responsible for accepting client referrals and to assign/match clients to clinicians based on client needs, insurance verification and acceptance, safety considerations and clinician or case manager location and expertise.

Receptionist/Quality Assurance Coordinator

Health Affiliates Maine has an opening combining receptionist and quality assurance responsibilities. As the first point of contact for the agency you will answer incoming calls, greet clients and visitors, and assist in maintaining a welcoming waiting area. As quality assurance of our medical records is important for licensing and regulatory standards this position will be responsible for auditing client charts for compliance, tracking critical incidents, and working with MaineCare and licensing regulations. Your ability to be motivated, work independently and as part of the medical records team, pay attention to detail, and effectively communicate with a wide variety of people will be necessary for your success in the position.

This is a full time 40 hour a week position; hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

A High School diploma or equivalent required. In addition a MHRT/C certification, or a Bachelor’s degree in mental health, social services, a health related field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of education and work experience required.

Affiliate Licensed Clinician – School and Facility Based positions

To be eligible for one of these positions an applicant must be licensed in the state of Maine as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). 

These are fee for service positions.  The clinician will receive referrals from staff, complete an assessment, and develop a treatment plan in conjunction with the client and/or family.   Individual and/or family therapy will occur on site at the facility.  Successful candidates will need to meet all hiring requirements.  Ideal candidates would be willing to be credentialed with all insurances, including Medicare.
